Group of EMBA students working together

Residency Week

Residency Week is the kick-off for the Executive MBA Program. Held at Mays Business School on the Texas A&M University campus in College Station, this week sets the stage for the program’s rigorous curriculum while allowing our participants to experience the renowned “Aggie Spirit” firsthand.

During Residency Week, participants complete the first series of program modules. These include modules that serve as the foundation for the program’s curriculum – team building skills, communication skills, the Case Method, and data analysis.

Residency Week also includes professional competency modules on business communication, team building, and self-assessment. These sessions introduce the skills sets that are enhanced and developed throughout the program’s four semesters.

Residency Week also provides participants the opportunity to network with previous graduates, faculty and classmates. Former EMBA participants return for a candid panel discussion of the “first-year” experience – including how to successfully balance your education, work and family life. Social events held throughout the week allow for participants to informally interact with each other and the EMBA faculty – beginning the camaraderie that continues into the classroom.

In between modules, participants experience life in Aggieland by taking a tour of campus, meeting the Texas Aggie Yell Leaders, and learning about Aggie Traditions.
